My client a renowned Marine Engineering company is seeking an initiative-taking and meticulous Draughtsman to join there mechanical engineering team on a short- term contract. In this role, you will assist in the creation and modification of detailed technical drawings and schematics for mechanical systems and aluminium materials used in the marine industry.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of drafting principles and be eager to use their skills in and around Mechanical Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for Mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software (such as AutoCAD ) My client also uses Rhino so this is essential for the position.

Assist in the development and refinement of designs.

Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design guidelines to create accurate technical drawings.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure drawings are aligned with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.

Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, improvements, or corrections.

Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards and company protocols.
