Our Client

Autograph are working alongside a growing Accountancy Practice based in Newport. The successful candidate will join the exciting team as part of an expanding practice and will be based at the Newport office. They are looking for driven dedicated individuals with broad-ranging skills and experience to join the team.

The opportunity

They are currently recruiting for an Accounts Audit Senior. Applicants will need to have gained previous experience within an accountancy practice and ideally be ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified or qualified by experience. We are seeking an individual who will be comfortable working in a client facing role and be involved in on site completion of audit assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Managers and Partners to ensure all work is completed to a review standard.
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102.)
  • Running quarterly VAT returns for clients.
  • Supervise the audit team, where necessary, providing leadership, control and guidance as required.
  • Meeting clients at their premises or in the office as and when required.
  • Ensure that high standards of quality, reporting and advice are maintained throughout all assignments.
  • Data processing and reconciliations both at clients premises and in the office
  • Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value.
  • Liaising with clients via the telephone and assisting with basic enquiries.

The ideal candidate

  • ACCA/ACA part or fully qualified or qualified by experience
  • Comfortable working in client facing role

  • Ability to deal with tasks on a timely basis

  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • Competent in setting own deadlines and meeting organisation deadlines

  • Involved in onsite audit assigments
  • Be driven and determined
