Job Purpose

  • Support a varied portfolio, working closely with Managers and Partners to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met
  • Undertake audit engagements, including site visits in South Wales
  • Run quarterly VAT returns
  • Supervise junior auditors, including workflow management, reviewing work, and identifying knowledge gaps
  • Lead quality control across engagements, championing service excellence
  • Build strong relationships with clients, proactively handling queries and acting as their go-to advisor
  • Research and interpret changes to audit and accounting regulations
  • Champion your own professional development, regularly undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements

  • AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified or part-qualified
  • Previous audit experience within practice
  • Previous experience in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant software including Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102)
  • A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously
  • An enthusiastic, can-do attitude towards problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines
  • Highly organised, reliable and professional
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • A drive to progress within the firm
