Site Financial Controller – Manufacturing Location: Newport Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus & BenefitsElevation Senior Finance is currently looking to recruit a Site Financial Controller on behalf of an Innovative Manufacturing organisation in Newport. If you are a commercially focused accountant with a passion for operations and being involved in the wider business, then this is a fantastic and exciting opportunity in a fast-growing Manufacturing business that is set for continual growth over the next few years.

This is a fast-paced role that will form a crucial link between finance and the wider business. Producing the month-end results, whilst ensuring the board receives value-adding management reports which drive decision-making.

Working closely with the senior leadership team to increase the company’s efficiency and deliver optimal performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be a key member of the SLT providing visible leadership and contributing to the running of the site
  • Ensure input into costings is accurate and within agreed timescales
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement
  • Optimise site financial performance with a particular focus on operational conversion including direct labour, waste and fixed costs by providing support and challenge to the site and budget holders
  • Lead the process for a robust site budget/forecasting process including communication within the site leadership team and stakeholders
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving profitability and cost efficiency
  • Review key spend variances on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve overall business efficiency
  • Oversee financial aspects of various projects, including capex, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on project financial performance
  • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimisation
  • Take ownership of the sites internal control environment to ensure that identified risks are addressed
  • Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet through monthly detailed reviews and maintaining a detailed knowledge of balance sheet items including risks and opportunities

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

  • CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Qualified
  • Recent relevant experience in Manufacturing or FMCG
  • Stakeholder management and influencing
  • Commercial and operational decision support
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel
