Temporary Assistant Accountant - Immediate Start!

Hourly pay rate £14.35 - £16.90 DOE 

Our client, a leading global organisation based in Newport, is seeking a temporary Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The role is being offered on a short term temporary basis for approximately 4-8 weeks to assist with a fixed asset project.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transferring fixed asset data onto their new accounts package, ensuring accuracy, as well as executing various reconciliations. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in transactional accounts, having a firm understanding of double entry bookkeeping and Intermediate Excel skills, as you will be required to pull mass data together from Excel spreadsheets. The perfect candidate will be used to working in a fast-paced environment, enjoy a challenge and working to some pretty tight timescales, all this whilst enhancing their skills in accounting and finance with a fantastic business.

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of fixed assets management
  • Intermediate Excel skills to analyse and report on financial data
  • Experience with reconciliations
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
