Salary: £26-29,000 + benefits
Our Client is a growing IT services company is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This role, based in Newport, involves managing daily procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and address any issues.
- Support the Sales and Pre-sales teams by obtaining supplier quotes.
- Assist the Accounts team with invoice queries.
- Keep CRM systems and records up-to-date.
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Degree educated
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a purchasing role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic.
- Open and honest communication style.
