A leading food manufacturer is looking for a BOAS accredited boiler room operator to work in our modern, automated, and clean site based in Crumlin, Wales - 15 miles from Newport and 10 miles from Cwmbran and Caerphilly.

The role: Boiler House service and maintenance, Steam generators, water systems and managing statutory requirements

The Pay: £35,000 - £40,000 based on skills and experience. Full time ongoing contract

The hours: Monday-Friday 07:00-16:00

JD Overview

  • Manage the operation and maintenance of site boiler and steam systems
  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance on infrastructure to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair site services equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to maintain seamless operations and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices focusing on optimising utility performance and reducing energy usage.
  • Participate in project work related to utilities systems including installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Conduct fault finding on systems and associated equipment.

Requirements:

  • BOAS qualified / accredited
  • Practical experience in a utilities or site services role ideally within the food or FMCG/packaging industry.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable with large installations.
  • Familiarity with maintenance practices for industrial utilities
  • Understanding of regulations and best practices for site services and utilities management.
