Salary up to £65,000

(The role is based on the Isle of Wight, requiring a presence on the island at least three days a week, with Newport as the contractual location)

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Business Manager to lead our Trade Waste Division, driving growth and operational efficiency. Based over on the Isle of Wight.

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead, grow, and develop trade waste operations on the island. While this position is centred on driving the growth and success of the business, it is not a direct sales role; sales representatives will handle customer acquisition and commissions.

As the Business Manager you will be responsible for:

• Manage, lead and develop the Trade Waste business, driving business growth and operational excellence
• Implement and develop business strategies
• Work with the Sales team to maximise business potential, whilst focussing on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Oversee the management of budgets, ensuring cost effective strategies that support business growth and profitability
• Monitor KPI’s making sure that operational and business targets are met or exceeded
• Work with the Senior Leadership Team and other departments (HSEQ, Finance, Commercial) to ensure business objectives are achieved
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven experience in leading Business Development, preferably waste management or a related sector
• Strong Leadership skills, experience building, motivating and developing high performance teams
• Strategic thinking skills and the ability to identify growth opportunities
• Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills
• The ability to collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and operational costs
• Commitment to delivering sustainable business packages
• The ability to relocate to the Isle of Wight or already live on the Island
