We are looking for 2 HGV Driver to complete scheduled waste collection rounds, working with a crew of loaders.
Role Responsibilities
- Safely operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to complete scheduled waste collection rounds in line with company standards and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, collections, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure HGVs are in good working condition, reporting any defects or required maintenance to the relevant team.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines, including safe driving practices and site procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading waste materials as required, ensuring efficient operation during rounds.
Please note: This is initially a Temporary role potential to go permanent. Job Title: HGV Driver - AM/PM Shifts Location: Isle of Wight Rate of Pay: £14.03 per hour (basic) Overtime Rate: 1.33 per hour Work Schedule: PM Shift - Monday to Friday, 12:00 - 21:30, any hours after 15:30 are paid at 1:33 . AM SHIFT - Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:30 (hours may vary depending on round completion) Skills and Experience:
- Must have prior experience as an HGV driver
- Valid HGV license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle safety checks and legal driving standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints to complete rounds.
- Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and site staff.
