Shift: Monday to Friday (Nights out as and when required)
Delivering to: Compounds and Deports
Salary: £37,856 - £50,024 (Higher end achievable with performance-based bonuses)
Contract Type: Permanent
Igloo is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Drivers and Trainee Car Transporter Drivers for our client based in Newport.
We are looking for motivated individuals to train as 11+ car transporter drivers, as well as experienced professionals ready to join the team. This role requires a driver who is committed to providing excellent customer service, as you will represent the company directly to their clients. About the Role
- Driving an HGV car transporter carrying 11+ new or used vehicles.
- Loading and unloading cars, vans, and other vehicles onto and off the transporter.
- Conducting thorough vehicle checks before loading to ensure they are in good condition.
- Engaging directly with dealerships and clients.
- Delivering vehicles to dealerships and small businesses in the region.
- Nights out as required.
What We’re Looking For
- A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- At least 6 months of driving experience in the last 2 years.
- An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (minor offences only).
- Confidence driving vehicles onto trailers at height.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to high standards.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
