Job Overview
Our Client is seeking a motivated and experienced Air and Ocean Freight BDM to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing customer accounts, and driving sales for our Air and Ocean freight services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Air and Ocean freight, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of sales success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the air and Ocean freight sector.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients through cold calling, networking, and market research.
- Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations to prospective customers.
- Account Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Address client inquiries, provide accurate quotes, and propose cost-effective freight solutions.
- Ensure timely and accurate follow-ups on all leads and sales inquiries.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to secure profitable deals.
- Close sales and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with marketing to create effective sales materials and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales forecasts.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance to management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in air freight, ocean freight sales.
- At least 5 years of sales experience in this field.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of logistics industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
