Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the continuity of education when regular teachers are absent.
You will be responsible for supervising students during lessons, ensuring they stay on task, and providing a supportive environment for learning. You will ensure that students follow the teacher's instructions, complete tasks, and behave appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during lessons in the absence of their regular teacher.
- Ensure students engage with assigned work and complete tasks to the best of their ability.
- Manage student behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
- Support the teaching staff in maintaining an effective and productive classroom environment.
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding student behaviour, progress, and completion of work.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom resources, as needed.
- Help maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere in the school.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent classroom management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A passion for supporting students in their learning and development.
