Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and deliver robust data architecture solutions that support enterprise-wide transformational change.
- Collaborate closely with professional teams in DDaT and Business to ensure high-quality results in data governance and modelling.
- Utilise Microsoft technologies such as Power BI, Synapse, ADF, MS SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Azure APIM, and Visual Studio to enhance data services.
- Design and build effective data pipelines and warehousing solutions.
- Engage in the Data community of practices, collaborating with experienced Data Architect colleagues.
- Ensure technical integrity while balancing long-term planning with immediate data architecture needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven leadership in digital, data, and technology sectors, with substantial experience in enterprise and technical architecture.
- Strong background in developing and delivering data architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to drive enterprise-wide data transformation at pace.
- Proficient with Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud services.
- Skilled in data management tools and data warehousing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data architecture issues clearly.
- Innovative approach to solving business and/or operational problems through digital, data, and technology solutions.
- Experience in software development and application architecture, including open-source technologies and programming.
- Familiarity with testing procedures and data pipeline design and construction.
