Head of Sales
Purpose of the RoleThe Head of Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and driving the revenue growth strategy. The postholder will lead the Sales team to grow corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and new business development across various sectors. Reporting into the executive leadership team, this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's commercial direction and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead the development and execution of a commercial sales strategy aligned to the organisation's overarching goals.

Manage and develop a high-performing Sales team, ensuring continuous professional growth and clear KPIs.

Identify and cultivate new revenue opportunities through sponsorships, partnerships, and membership growth.

Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across relevant industries.

Work closely with marketing, membership, events, and product teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform commercial decisions.

Report on performance metrics and provide regular updates to the executive leadership team.

Represent the organisation externally at industry events and forums as a thought leader.
Skills & Experience

Significant experience in a senior B2B sales or commercial role, ideally within a professional services, membership, or media/events environment.

Proven track record of developing and delivering successful sales strategies and meeting/exceeding revenue targets.

Experience leading and managing a high-performing sales team.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market insight into business opportunity.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Ability to influence at senior levels, including C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
