About the role:

You will be responsible for delivering inspiring Drama lessons that ignite students’ creativity and passion for the performing arts. You will create a vibrant and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging collaboration and self-expression while helping students build confidence in their theatrical abilities. You will also play a key role in assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and engaging in the wider artistic community within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama lessons to students across various year groups.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development in performing arts skills and techniques.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular activities, school productions, and arts-related events.
• Stay current with the Drama curriculum and employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Drama at the secondary level is highly desirable.
• A strong commitment to student achievement and personal growth.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in their exploration of the performing arts.
