1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Newport

If so, Academics are currently looking for someone to work as a Teaching assistant with a pupil who has additional learning needs in a large primary school in Newport. This SEN Teaching Assistant role starts after half term in February 2025.

Key responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Providing 1:1 support that is tailored to a KS1 pupil who has additional learning difficulties.
  • Assist this pupil with classroom activities including reading and basic numeracy and literacy tasks
  • Implement strategies to support the pupil inside and outside the classroom
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with the pupil, their parents and staff within the school.

Requirements for an ALN Teaching Assistant

  • Experience working in an ALN setting
  • Experience working 1:1 with ALN pupils
