Job Title: Electrical Contract Manager Sector: Social Housing Location: Newport through to Swansea (hybrid working between site and home) Contract: 6 Months Temporary Contract Hourly Rate: £24-30.25  Start Date: ASAP SummaryWe are currently working with a large housing association in South Wales who are looking for someone who has an electrical background and can manage their large rewiring programme.Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing a large rewiring programme of 1,000 tenanted homes.
  2. Project managing and liaising with contractors and doing site visits.
  3. Updating forms data on the system.
  4. Reading electrical certificates.
  5. Post inspecting all work on completion and making sure it has been carried out to current regulations.
  6. Assessing contractor performance and working to KPI’s.
  7. Report writing.
  8. Attending meetings with management to discuss progress and performance.
Role Specifications:
  • Qualified Electrician or recognised apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Level 3 Inspection and Testing qualification
  • Good understanding of general building knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and an ability to put this into practice.
  • Evidence of effectively managing budgets.
  Additional Information:
  • Phone and laptop will be provided
  • Mileage expenses covered around sites
  • Must be available immediately or within 1 weeks’ notice
  • Must have full driver’s license and own car
  • Can be based out of either the Swansea or Newport office
