We are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our well established client in Newport.

Electrical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor you will support the site maintenance effort carrying out typical maintenance activities including:

  • Responding to plant breakdowns as required to diagnose and resolve faults of an instrumentation or electrical nature.
  • Installation and maintenance of 415V AC motors and associated control equipment.
  • Installing, commissioning, and maintaining safety, control, and measurement systems. Level, pressure and temperature measurements etc.
  • Carry out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems as per procedural documentation.
  • Maintenance of hazardous area equipment in line with the DSEAR regulations.
  • General electrical installation work including lighting and cable management.

Electrical Maintenance Technician Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess a time served qualification in an electrical/instrument discipline.
  • Will have experience in fault finding using a systematic approach to get to route cause efficiently and effectively.

Will ideally understand and correctly use the following systems:

  • SAP to complete assigned maintenance, review and update equipment history.
  • Beamex CMX software to carry out and record instrument calibrations.
  • Drawing database to access, understand and update site electrical and control drawings when required.
  • Microsoft office for general administrative tasks.
