What you will be doing:
- Leading the design and development of analogue, digital and mixed-signal circuits for various applications (including component selection, schematic capture and PCB layout to meet objectives).
- Integrating electronic subsystems into larger systems, ensuring compatibility, optimal performance and compliance with standards.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system-level issues, from hardware to software interfaces.
- Developing electronic designs using circuit simulation and physical prototypes.
- Leading electronics design projects and providing technical guidance and mentorship to more junior engineers.
- Managing project timelines ensuring that design milestones are met.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, schematics and reports.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Recommending and implementing improvements to design processes, tools and techniques to enhance efficiency, product quality and innovation.
- Working closely with other departments and disciplines within the engineering team
- Identifying and assess technical risks associated with designs and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring products meet all regulatory and safety standards.
What you will need:
- Experience as a lead electronics design engineer, senior electronics design engineer or sole electronics design engineer, with a history of successful product development.
- Experience with electronic design packages for PCB design and schematic capture; some experience with Altium is required.
- A track record of taking the lead on EMC and CE Marking approval for new products.

What you will receive:
A salary of £55,000-£60,000 (dependent on experience), private medical, 5% pension contribution, subsidised gym membership, 25 days holiday plus the bank holidays.
The working hours
Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm, and Friday 8am-1:30pm, although there is some flexibility to work slightly different hours if that suits you better. You will be able to work in a hybrid fashion with 3 days on site and 2 days working from home.
