Strong additional learning needs/ALN Cover Supervisors needed immediately in Newport.

TeacherActive are currently recruiting ALN Cover Supervisor to support the learning and development of pupils requiring additional support in schools. The Schools work with a wide-range of pupils with additional learning and emotional/social needs. Cover Supervisors provide learning assistance for young people preparing for exams or re-adjusting to mainstream education. Experience with challenging behaviour is a must.
The biggest focus will be on delivering core skills in English, Maths at GCSE level.Â
Skills and Experience:
– Teachers for all subjects required, with a particular focus on English and Maths;
– Understanding and appreciation of working with disengaged pupils and those with                        SEN/ALN/Challenging Behaviour;
– Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions;
– Excellent written communication and reporting;
– Excellent timekeeping and reliability with an empathetic and understanding nature;
