About the Role

The Factory Shift Manager (Meat Prep) will oversee meat preparation, ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teams in meat prep, including Senior Operators and Machine Minders.
  • Ensure production schedules are met and processes like tumbling, cooking, and chilling run smoothly.
  • Maintain GMP and food safety compliance, conduct audits, and support external inspections.
  • Drive Health & Safety initiatives and risk assessments.
  • Adapt quickly to unexpected changes and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Key Skills

  • Proven team management experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong knowledge of meat prep processes and workflow management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Calm under pressure, adaptable, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Food Safety (Level 2 or 3) and IOSH certifications preferred but not essential.

Working Hours

  • 7-day fortnight - rotating days and nights
  • Hours: 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am
