KCS are currently seeking a Banksman for an exciting opportunity in Newport. Join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of lifting and site activities.
Position: Banksman
Location: Newport
Hours: 10 hours on-site, 9.5 hours paid
Rate: 150 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely direct vehicles and lifting equipment on-site.
- Guide crane and vehicle operators with hand signals or radio communication.
- Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor site traffic and equipment movements to prevent accidents.
- Coordinate with other site workers to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct safety checks of equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Banksman is preferred.
- Banksman or relevant safety certification required.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and site operations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
