Contract Type: Term-Time Only
Salary: Weeknight Role: £13.02-£13.33 per hour (dependent on experience)

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated individuals to join our boarding team, supporting the wellbeing of boys resident in the Junior Boarding House and contributing to its smooth running.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a nurturing, supportive, and disciplined environment for pupils in the Junior Boarding House.
  • Balance a friendly and approachable demeanor with the need to maintain structure and discipline.
  • Act as a point of support and care for pupils, fostering their wellbeing and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with the Boarding Matron, Lead Matron, and Housemaster as part of a close-knit team.
  • Provide both weeknight and weekend cover, including on-call duties (see hours below).
Weeknight Role:
  • Hours: 4 evenings per week (Monday to Thursday), 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM.
Weekend Role (On a Rota):
  • Friday: On duty from 6:00 PM and overnight on call from home (attending only if contacted by the Housemaster).
  • Saturday:
    • On duty from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
    • On call from home between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
    • On call overnight until Sunday morning at 8:00 AM.
  • Sunday: Morning duties transition to the Matron.

  • Previous experience in working with children or young people, particularly in a residential or pastoral setting (desirable).
