TSR Legal are pleased to be working with a forward thinking conveyancing law firm who due to recent changes in their structure, they have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join their Senior Management Team as Deputy Head of Conveyancing. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Conveyancing to support the day-to-day operations of the Conveyancing team, as well as client support and operational administrative teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Compliance & Standards: Ensuring full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including AML and client care standards.
  • Team Development: Assisting in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Conveyancers.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Providing guidance to conveyancing teams, acting as a coach and mentor on complex transactional matters, and handling any HR-related issues.
  • Client Service Delivery: Managing escalated complaints, handling LEO matters, and providing targeted training to improve client service.
  • Operational Support: Offering strategic and operational support to the Head of Conveyancing across all areas of the department’s functioning.

To be considered for this role, please ensure your CV highlights the following:

  • PQE & Certification: Minimum of 5 years PQE with a current Practising Certificate.
  • Management Experience: Proven experience in a management role within a fast-paced and paper-free Conveyancing firm or legal practice.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive technical knowledge of conveyancing, with experience training, managing, and mentoring both trainee and experienced conveyancers.
  • Policy Development: Previous experience creating and implementing office, department, and technical policies and procedures.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
