Reed HR are proud to be recruiting for a HR Manager to support a UK leading specialist importer and distributor based in Newport.This is a standalone HR role where you will oversee HR operations and maintain a positive culture within the organisation in a truly generalist role! On-site role What you'll be doing: 

  • Maintain time and absence management records and assist line managers with processes and communications with employees.
  • Provide advice on benefits for employees and managers, ensuring fair and equal treatment.
  • Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy. Administer employment offers, contracts, and new starter packs.
  • Assist in writing and reviewing job descriptions, preparing interview materials, and overseeing recruitment processes.
  • Oversee the assessment, delivery, and evaluation of training and development programs.
  • Administer contractual and payroll amendments in coordination with relevant managers and departments.
  • Maintain HR Information Systems, ensuring accurate employee records.
  • Support change management processes and apply HR and business knowledge with appropriate decision-making skills.
  • Monitor, review, and update HR policies and processes, implementing changes where necessary.
  • Develop HR policies and procedures to support employee wellbeing and legal compliance.
  • Remain approachable and supportive to all employees, fostering a team spirit across the organisation.  

 What you'll need:

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations and legal compliance.
  • Ability to manage complex employee relations cases.
