Reporting to the UK Group Head of Engineering, dotted line into the Site Supply Director, of a large site with multiple manufacturing plants, you are the Site Engineering Excellence & Change Manager.

Leading the engineering technical change agenda for the Site, including all the maintenance activities to improve line performance, using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles – TPM

Change management, leadership and stakeholder engagement are the key challenges

Drive engineering performance improvements, lead projects, manage multi-million-pound budgets and lead your teams to strive for world-class engineering & Maintenance excellence

Responsible for setting the engineering strategy, leading engineering activities, maximising production through maintenance of site assets

Key Responsibilities – Site Engineering Excellence & Change Manager

  • Ensure engineering resources (people/headcount) and technical skill set is maximised
  • Develop autonomous maintenance programmes – subject matter expert in maintenance systems
  • Continuous improvement and reengineering in everything you do – support and lead organisational change programme
  • Develop with the factory management, to ensure that the productive capacity of the plant is optimised and improved for the ever-changing needs of the business
  • You will create, implement, and manage the engineering maintenance strategy
  • Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implementing plans to deliver improvement
  • and implement an engineering maintenance strategy
  • Develop engineering skills through a structured people development programme.
  • Integrate engineers and line operators into ‘one team', maximising the engineering structure through autonomous maintenance techniques

Qualifications and Requirements – Site Engineering Excellence & Change Manager

  • Experience in delivering major cultural and leadership – change-oriented and flexible lean-orientated approach
  • Experience in leading technical frontline maintenance, services, and project teams
  • Track record of using advanced manufacturing techniques (E.g. WCM/TPM/Lean)
  • HNC/HND within an engineering discipline minimum
  • Background in engineering management within a time-sensitive, 24/7 complex manufacturing
  • A confident leader, decision maker and influencer
  • Track record of delivering continuous improvement and engineering performance
  • You will set the standard, vision, pace and strategy on a large complex site.
  • Engineering leadership at a senior level in a manufacturing environment – open on industry, as long as its manufacturing or automated complex consumer supply chain
  • You are a strategic influencer, leader and decision-maker with the head space to develop into more senior roles in the UK functions.
