The role:
You will be working within a team, carrying out PPM’s and maintenance on a range of production machinery.
- To provide breakdown service to the production areas to ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are met.
- To carry out a programme of planned maintenance on plant / production machinery, ensuring that they are available for production in a safe and efficient condition.
- To support the Engineering Supervisor with the continual development and improvement of the facilities and services available to the business.
- To work proactively, identify and act upon any sub standard areas.
- Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
- Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
- Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
- Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.

- Ensure that ‘general’ building/facilities maintenance is carried out.
- Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
- Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
- Work closely with other internal departments.
- Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
- Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
- Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
- Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
The Person:
- Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in a engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
- You will be multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
- Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
- IOSH working safely / managing safely is desirable but not essential.
- Ideally, you will have PLC experience – specifically, Siemens S7 / Mitsubishi.
- Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical and P&I drawings.
