1st Step Solutions are supporting a leading M&E Tier 1 Contractor on the requirement of an experienced Electrical Site Manager on an existing project in Newport.

We are ideally seeking candidates from a Data Centre, Hospital or pharmaceutical background.

Job Purpose:
The role will be a site based role, with critical responsibility for the management and success of the project, including customer relations, health and safety, quality, environmental, programme and the cost/value of operations.

Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership, and energy.
- Ensuring the electrical works run to strict programme.
- Maintaining strict quality control procedures.
- Lead regular site meetings with all interested parties.
- Report on site progress to project manager.
- Produce and manage two week look ahead.
- Managing sub-contractors to maintain programme targets.
- Assist with commissioning and handover.
- Review of the scope of works, produce RAMS documents where required.
- Issuing technical submittals of all equipment/packages under guidance of the project manager.
- Maintain all required site documentation/permits/plant registers.
- Conducting regular site safety checks.
- Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.
- Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.
- Reviewing methods of working, alternative materials etc. in order to maximise commercial profitability.
- Implementing and maintaining the Company's Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development and acting as an exemplar of the Company culture and values.
- Any other duties relevant to the role.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Relevant Electrical trade qualifications.
- Current, valid CSCS skill card.
- SMSTS/SSSTS.
- Experience of a similar role working for a Tier 1 M&E Contractor.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
