Mechanical Engineer

Up to £38,000

Yolk Recruitment is excited to support the search for a skilled Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you'll play a vital part in providing mechanical engineering support for business-critical activities. You will drive the design, manufacture, and validation of mechanical tooling and processes, ensuring production meets product specifications. If you thrive in dynamic environments and have a passion for innovation, this role is for you!

This is what you'll be doing:

  • Provide expert mechanical engineering support across the business.
  • Design, manufacture, and validate production jigs and fixtures, using internal or external resources.
  • Conduct feasibility reviews of mechanical products/assemblies during RFQ stages.
  • Perform in-depth mechanical investigations to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to address technical issues with vendors.
  • Support production and process engineers through prototype, NPI, and MRP stages.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and apprentices daily.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
