A position has arisen for a permanent Mechanical Services Manager placed within a highly reputable organisation in the South of Wales. The role ensures that the Organisation’s mechanical assets are maintained and serviced to a standard that ensures full legislative compliance.

Your duties will include:

  • To maintain oversight for all of the mechanical assets, namely Air Conditioning servicing, Air Handling Unit servicing, Gas Servicing, Fire and Smoke Dampers, Automatic Vents, Heating Systems (including boilers, calorifier, expansion vessels), Sewage Pumps, Radon Gas, Heating Systems water treatment, generators
  • To oversee proactive and reactive maintenance works associated with USW’s mechanical infrastructure
  • Provide advice and guidance on the best approach to address reactive maintenance works associated with USW’s mechanical infrastructure.
  • Operate the internal Facilities Management system (Planon) to analyse planned and reactivate maintenance works aligned to mechanical tasks
  • Manage in house Plumbing & Heating Engineers, providing support, guidance and leadership

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering services
  • NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Excellent understanding of asbestos and legionella control
