Close-knit team: You will work within a small, friendly project team of two other people and liaise cross-functionally with other departments.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading Meaningful Projects: Manage capital investment projects that positively impact safety, productivity, and environmental standards, giving you the satisfaction of seeing the tangible results of your work.
  • Managing Diverse Projects: Working across all aspects of project management, from design and planning to execution and handover, while gaining advanced skills in CAPEX and OPEX investments.
  • Driving Improvements: Scope and manage productivity enhancement initiatives, ensuring smooth management of change activities, and collaborate with procurement to align supplier procedures with project goals.
  • Expanding Your Influence: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to build your professional network and leverage the insights of industry experts.
  • Delivering Accountability and Results: Produce detailed reports to secure project expenditure sign-off, driving efficient, safe, and reliable plant operations that contribute directly to the organisation's success.

What you will need:

  • Proven Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience managing multiple, moderately complex projects simultaneously, with a strong track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • Relevant Engineering Qualification: Degree-level qualification in a related engineering field, such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, is preferred.
  • Analytical & Business Acumen: Skilled in crafting detailed reports and developing compelling business cases to secure project funding and authorisation.
  • Contractor Management Experience: Adept at managing internal and external contractors, ensuring smooth coordination, clear communication, and adherence to project goals and safety standards.

What you will receive:

A salary of £50,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience) + pension (max contribution 5% employee and 10% employer), private medical, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, etc.

Your working hours

8:30 am-4:30 pm Monday to Friday. A flexi-time scheme is available; the core hours are 9.30 am to 3.00 pm.
