Their Purpose - A dedicated and leading retrofit energy installer committed to providing a solution to reduce carbon footprint. Installing a range of energy saving measures into residential homes through the ECO and GBIS schemes.
Location &, flexibility - Newport, South Wales (1 day a week)/ 4 days on sites throughout the M4 corridor

About the Job -
As the Renewable Design Engineer, you will design efficient, tailored systems that meet both client requirements and regulatory standards. Working closely with the engineering and installations teams, you’ll ensure seamless integration and high-performance results. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service while advancing sustainable energy adoption.
- You’ll be responsible for creating details, bespoke designs for ASHP and solar systems that align with the client needs and regulatory standards.
- You will precisely size and specific equipment for maximum efficiency and performance.
- You’ll provide on-site technical guidance to installation teams, supporting all phases from design to commissioning.
- Working directly with clients to understand their energy goals and translate them into effective system designs whilst ensuring all designs comply with regulations, building codes and industry standards.
- You’ll also be responsible for overseeing design projects from concept to completion, coordinating with teams to meet timelines and budgets.
About you -
- BPEC trained with a minimum of 2 years of ASHP system design experience. Solar design experience is an advantage, but in-house training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of ASHP technology, solar systems and sustainable heating best practises.
- Accuracy in calculations and documentation, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to explain technical details to clients and team members clearly and effectively.
- Full UK Driving licence
