Location: NewportSalary: £14.77 per hour Job Type: Temporary, Full-time, 37 hours per weekAbout the Company:Our client, a well-established and respected organisation based in Newport  is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Maintenance Scheduler to join their team on a temporary basis. The Role:As a Maintenance Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities. You will work closely with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure that all necessary tasks are scheduled, communicated, and completed efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring that maintenance operations run smoothly, with minimal disruption to the business.Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks, ensuring all activities are planned and executed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the maintenance team to allocate resources and assign tasks based on priority and availability.
  • Maintain and update maintenance schedules, logs, and records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external contractors to confirm schedules and address any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor the progress of maintenance activities, ensuring all tasks are completed according to the schedule.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to maintenance activities, including work orders, status updates, and completion reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the maintenance team, assisting with any other tasks as required.
About You:
  • Previous experience in a scheduling, administrative, or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with different stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems as they arise.
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Available between 08:30 and 18:00
  • 37 hours per week, with shifts either from 08:30 to 16:30 or 10:00 to 18:00.
  • The later shift (10:00-18:00) will only need to be worked two days every week and a half, and will be scheduled on consecutive days (e.g., Tuesday + Wednesday or Thursday + Friday).
