Pertemps is partnering with the Royal Mail to hire Collection Drivers in Newport, starting from 18/11/2024.
The position offers an hourly rate of £13.37 and requires a full UK manual driving license with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
Collection Drivers will work Monday to Friday, starting at 2pm and finishing around 6pm-7pm.
While previous experience in a customer-facing or delivery role is preferred, it is not essential for applicants.
Candidates must be self-motivated, enjoy working outdoors, and will undergo a full DBS security check before starting.

Due to an increase in demand, Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail to source Collection Drivers to support with their busy operation starting from 18/11/2024.Location: NewportHours: 2pm start, finish approx. 6pm-7pmShift: Monday to FridayHourly Rate: £13.37 per hour PAYEAbout the Collection Driver roleYou will be responsible for collection of parcels and mail by driving on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service. Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office. Our Postal Delivery Drivers will be provided with an induction.About You

The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.
You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors.
You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.

Previous Experience

Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.
You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.

Driving licence requirements

A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)
Maximum 6 penalty points
