Setting Out Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Setting-Out Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newport for along term project. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of projects.

Pay Rate:

  • Competative day rate
  • 260 - 310 a day based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting Out: Accurately set out building lines, levels, and other construction features using the latest technology and equipment.
  • Data Collection: Collect and record accurate data for construction progress and quality control.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy of all setting out work and maintain quality standards throughout the project.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any setting out issues that may arise during construction.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in the use of modern surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and laser levels
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
  • Knowledge of relevant construction standards and regulations
  • Experience in working on large-scale construction projects
