Setting Out Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Setting-Out Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newport for along term project. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of projects.
Pay Rate:
- Competative day rate
- 260 - 310 a day based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting Out: Accurately set out building lines, levels, and other construction features using the latest technology and equipment.
- Data Collection: Collect and record accurate data for construction progress and quality control.
- Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy of all setting out work and maintain quality standards throughout the project.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any setting out issues that may arise during construction.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in the use of modern surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and laser levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment to safety and quality
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Knowledge of relevant construction standards and regulations
- Experience in working on large-scale construction projects
