Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to assist the Payroll Manager in running a diverse client payroll portfolio. You will be responsible for processing payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
Main Duties:
" Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly payrolls for clients with employee counts ranging from 1 to 150 using Sage Payroll.
" Managing BACS payments through third-party payment mandates.
" Submitting all HMRC returns accurately and on time.
" Uploading pension data to appropriate pension providers.
" Completing year-end payroll submissions.
" Handling client payroll queries efficiently and professionally.
" Providing holiday cover for the Payroll Manager.
Skills & Experience Required:
" Minimum 3 years of experience processing multiple client payrolls in a Bureau environment.
" Experience using Sage Payroll (essential).
" Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
" Experience with other payroll software, such as Xero (desirable).
" Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and suppliers effectively.
" Prior experience in an Accountancy Practice Payroll role (desirable).
