Job Title: Process Operator/Laborer
Location: Newport
Salary: £12.50 + 15% shift allowance so £14.37 per hour
Hours: Full time working Monday to Friday on a 3 shift Rota
Mornings 6am - 2pm
Afternoons 2pm - 10pm
Nights 10pm-6am Mon-Fri
Our very well established client in Newport is currently recruiting a Process Operator to join them on a temporary basis.
Process Operator/Laborer you will be responsible for managing the machine you are working on. You will be Loading and unloading materials. Weighing and recording weights of materials on a computer. You will be working in the steel industry so previous experience in this sector is preferable.

- Preparation of raw materials.
- Oven drying
- Blending and Crushing
- Container Loading & storage
- Working in the Furnace
- Jet Milling
- Extrusion
- Wash plant
- Graphite Die maintenance
- Hot Pressing
- Processing contract pressings
- General Labouring
- Making Casings
You will need to have:
- A strong work ethic as this is a very labor intense role
- Computer literate
- Be very vigilant and health and safety conscious
- Be comfortable with heavy lifting
- Be happy Working in a hot, dusty and load environment (equipment supplied)
- Preferably someone who has experience in the steel or metal industry
