Our Client is a growing IT services company is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This role, based in Newport, involves managing daily procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and address any issues.
  • Support the Sales and Pre-sales teams by obtaining supplier quotes.
  • Assist the Accounts team with invoice queries.
  • Keep CRM systems and records up-to-date.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree educated
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a purchasing role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
