Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager looking for your next challenge?

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of my client for a hands-on Project Manager to oversee the organisation and delivery of key in-house construction projects. These include redevelopment of existing buildings, new build developments, and mixed-use schemes.

My client is looking for someone with a strong background in project management, budgeting, and analysis. Quantity Surveying experience would be a big plus, and while RICS qualifications are preferred, they're not essential if you have the right experience and skill set.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Owner and Managing Director, this position is all about leading construction projects from start to finish-delivering them on time, within scope, and within budget. You'll be the driving force behind each project, working closely with internal teams, third-party suppliers, and contractors to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate internal teams and external contractors/suppliers to ensure seamless project execution

  • Take full ownership of project delivery-ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard

  • Develop and define clear scopes of work for commercial new builds and refurbishment projects, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business goals

  • Oversee resource planning and allocation, keeping a close eye on timelines and progress

  • Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and costs using structured verification methods

  • Track and report on project performance, keeping stakeholders informed and escalating issues when necessary

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all parties involved to support successful outcomes

The Requirements

  • Track record in construction, fit out, refurb & building project management
  • Experience in new build steel portal frame buildings
  • Experience leading projects from cradle to grave
  • Knowledge and experience with appropriate software's, Microsoft Project etc
  • AutoCAD 2D & 3D (Preferred but not essential)

This is a key leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and has a strong background in construction project delivery.
