About the Role

Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a renowned client that delivers high-profile projects across Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics, and the UK. Our client is a leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor with a diverse portfolio spanning Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation sectors.

We are seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a Data Centre project in Newport, Wales. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative team, reporting directly to the Commercial Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate tenders post-project award with the Project Manager/Director.
  • Assist in project cost control, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct site measurements and collaborate with Construction and Planning Teams.
  • Manage client invoicing and subcontractor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Attend commercial and subcontractor meetings, highlighting any cost or contractual concerns.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to resolve disputes and drive efficiency.

What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
  • Data Centre experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Working towards Chartership or professional Quantity Surveying certification (desirable).
