School Receptionist
Staffroom Education are currently recruiting for a School receptionist on behalf of our client, a Secondary School in Newport.
School Receptionists play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organised environment for staff, pupils and visitors at the school, managing the front desk and providing professional administrative support, performing various duties.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Making and receiving telephone calls in a helpful and professional manner;
- Directing enquiries to the appropriate person;
- Monitoring email accounts;
- Scheduling appointments;
- Contacting parents, carers and outside agencies as required;
- Maintaining attendance records;
- Providing general administrative support to the school staff;
- Using school systems for visitor-sign-in;
- Being aware of and complying with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
Experience within a receptionist position is desirable however the successful candidate may not necessarily have worked within a school environment previously.
