Job Title: HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver

Location: Magor, Caldicot

Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Working Hours:  2pm-10pm Monday to Friday Permanent

Salary:  £14.33ph plus rolled up holiday pay  of £1.73ph

MDE Group UK LTD are  recruiting for HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers to join our clients established team based in the Magor area.

Job Description:

• Moving trailers to allocated spots in a busy yard
• Checking trailers for any possible damage, keeping an eye on VOR’s  and reporting this
• Ensuring health and safety processes are followed to the letter
• Keeping working areas clean and tidy

Requirements:

• Experience driving a Terberg/Tug Unit
• Excellent knowledge of tacho use and working time
• Daily vehicle checks ensuring any issues are reported immediately
• Good communication skills as you will be using a radio.

Qualifications

• UK HGV Class 1 Licence with 6 months experience required
• Max 6 points with no major endorsements (DD/DG/DR/IN/TT/CD/UT)
• Valid Tacho
• Valid CPC

Also additional shunter roles on a 4 on 4 off (2 days 2 nights) pattern available.
