We are looking for a dedicated Housing Advice and Prevention Officer to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families facing housing challenges.

Key Responsibilities:Homelessness Case Reviews:
  • Undertake senior officer reviews of homelessness cases under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, ensuring decisions are lawful, fair, and transparent.
  • Respond to statutory reviews of decisions, including those related to the suitability of accommodation, with well-reasoned and clear written responses.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, particularly casework related to homelessness prevention and statutory reviews.
  • Experience in homelessness prevention, housing advice, or similar frontline roles.
  • Strong report-writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex casework decisions clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, including elected representatives and other public bodies.
  • Proven ability to handle complaints and sensitive issues with empathy, tact, and a problem-solving approach.
