Job Opportunity: Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Nurse
Location: Isle of Wight (NHS Contract)
Hours: 7-day service, 24/7 coverage (Weekdays, weekends, nights-early, late, long day, and night shifts)
Rate of Pay: 31.50 per hour (Ltd, paid via umbrella) with uplifts for Saturdays and Sundays
Contract: Temporary

Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Nurse to join the NHS on the Isle of Wight. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team providing essential mental health services in a dynamic and supportive environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Take responsibility for conducting thorough assessments of needs and risks for individuals referred to the service.
  • Care Planning: Plan and provide care, support, and signposting for service users, ensuring smooth onward referral where necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with service users, colleagues, and other services/agencies to create tailored plans to meet individual needs.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service and the development of professional practices.
  • Equality & Professionalism: Uphold the Trust's Equality's Framework, ensuring professional relationships and behaviour at all times.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain sensitive, confidential, and professional communication in all interactions.
  • Multi-Agency Liaison: Build strong working relationships with Trust teams, Social Care services, Police, Safeguarding, and third-sector organisations to achieve the best outcomes for service users.


What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified mental health nurse with Band 6 experience or equivalent.
  • Strong assessment, planning, and collaborative working skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights, in a 24/7 service.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
