Reed Education Cardiff are currently seeking passionate and patient education professionals to fulfil day-to-day, long-term and even permanent opportunities within specialist schools across the Cardiff and Newport areas.

We at Reed Education work with a number of Specialist education facilities including Pupil Referral Units, Education Centres, ASD Schools and Specialist schools catering for specific needs. We aim to provide excellent staff to join schools as seamlessly as possible, as well as providing candidates with the support to find their ideal positions based on preferences and experience.

As a support assistant, you would be responsible for:

  • Supporting individuals or small groups of young people with their everyday needs
  • Being open, passionate and resilient with the ability to adapt to every scenario
  • Providing young people with tailored support methods in line with their EHCP’s
  • Supporting the class teacher

The salary for these roles are currently set between £13.68 to £15 per hour. Hours are usually between 08:30am to 3:30pm, at a total of 6.5 hours per day.

For this role, you will:

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Have relevant experience within the sector such as Care, Education or similar
  • Have a positive impact on young people in your care, providing tailored and adaptable support
  • Be open to working with a range of needs (personal care may be a requirement depending on the role)
