Reed Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a school located in the City of Newport. The school provides education for children and young people between the ages of 4-19. All pupils have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and nearly all have speech, communication and language difficulties and many pupils do not communicate using speech. The school pride themselves on their warm and positive environment making all pupils feel safe and comfortable, helping them achieve their best.

The salary for this Teaching Assistant vacancy would be £75-£85 per day, depending on experience and I am looking to collate candidate applications as soon as possible, so please do not delay getting in touch!

The role:The role is to assist teachers and encourage children’s confidence, self-esteem and independence. You may be expected to liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists and manage challenging behaviour.

Requirements:
