An exciting opportunity with a growing business who are currently recruiting for a Graduate Sales Engineer in their Newport site. As a Graduate Sales Engineer, you will be supporting and liaising with clients to help sell products manufactured on-site, and use CAD packages to adapt their design to fit the bespoke needs of the client. An ideal candidate for this position will come from a Mechanical Engineering background, and be proficient in CAD packages, including Autodesk and Inventor. This is an office-based role with exciting opportunities to manufacture prodcuts on the shop-floor.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients regarding product design requests - essential to have a strong mechanical engineering background to understand the product development involved in this position.
  • Adapt standard products using CAD packages (Inventor and Autodesk) to meet clients' bespoke needs.
  • A varied position - predominantly tech sales focused but other responsibilities will include admin tasks, CAD usage, and sometimes manufacturing products on the shop floor.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and willing to throw themselves into a role where they can develop their skills greatly.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • A recognised qualification in mechanical engineering (HNC/HND/NVQ/BEng/MEng etc.)
  • Experience with CAD (Autodesk and Inventor)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, 18001, 45001 & auditing
  • Tech sales experience - preferred but not essential
  • Experience within a manufacturing company (ideally heavy industry/steel) - preferred but not essential
