Reed Further Education are working with a college that are searching for a dedicated Sport Lecturer to join at their Crosskeys Campus for a duration of approximately 3-4 weeks. This role involves teaching learners at Level 2-3 Pearson BTEC Sports. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports education and a commitment to student development.

Job Title: Sports Lecturer

Position: Part-time, Mon, Thurs and Fri – 13 hours

Role type: Temporary – 3 to 4 weeks

Location: Crosskeys, Newport

Salary: £28p/h to £35p/h including holiday pay

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students enrolled in Level 2-3 Pearson BTEC Sports.
  • Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum guidelines and educational standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress in sports courses through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to improve course content and teaching methods.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must possess a teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching sports or related subjects at the specified levels.
  • Strong understanding of the Pearson BTEC Sports curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners.
  • Organisational skills to manage teaching schedules and lesson planning effectively.
  • Enhanced DBS on update service and EWC registration.
