Content Manager

A leading maritime charity, dedicated to inspiring the younger generation through water-based adventures, education, and career training at sea, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Content Manager. This role will oversee and enhance website content, ensuring alignment with the charity's brand and effectively engaging its target audience.

The Content Manager will be responsible for managing and developing compelling digital content that enhances the customer journey, drives engagement, and increases conversions.

As a key member of the team, this individual will analyze customer interactions, benchmark against competitors, and continuously refine the website's content strategy to improve user experience and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a content strategy for the website, ensuring alignment with brand identity and business objectives.
  • Optimize customer journeys by analyzing user behavior and identifying opportunities to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
  • Research competitor websites and industry trends to ensure content remains competitive and appealing.
  • Create, manage, and update website content, including landing pages, blogs, product descriptions, and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure content is visually engaging and structured for optimal user experience.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, making data-driven content decisions.
  • Work with marketing teams to integrate content across social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and consistent in tone and messaging.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Content Manager, Digital Marketer, or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of website content management.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, UX/UI principles, and website analytics.
  • Experience using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, or similar).
  • Ability to conduct competitor analysis and customer journey mapping.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, SEO tools, and content marketing strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and development.
  • A passion for sailing or the marine industry is a plus.
