Do you thrive in a leadership role, driving service excellence while mentoring a team? This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a forward-thinking organisation. Our client, a prestigious institution in the higher education sector, is looking for a Productivity Lead to take ownership of their Microsoft 365 productivity services, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and the Power Platform. This role will play a key part in ensuring these platforms support efficient collaboration across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the resolution of major incidents and escalated technical issues across Microsoft 365 productivity tools.
  • Lead the implementation of new technologies and service improvements within SharePoint, OneDrive, and the Power Platform.
  • Ensure security, resilience, and operational efficiency across all productivity platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to enhance service delivery and align with organisational goals.
  • Contribute to strategic IT decision-making, ensuring solutions are cost-effective and future-proof.
  • Act as a deputy to the Productivity & Automation Manager when required.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members.
What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and the Power Platform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Experience in IT service management, including change, incident, and problem management.
  • Ability to coach and support junior team members, ensuring high performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A structured approach to technical documentation and process improvement.
  • A solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Experience managing SharePoint as an intranet platform.

Desirable:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (or equivalent experience/qualifications).
  • Previous experience leading small IT projects.
